The Rotary Club of Los Alamos is dedicated to positively impacting our local and global communities. Rotary’s areas of focus include promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, saving mothers and children, supporting education, growing local economies, and protecting the environment.
Here are some of our projects:
- The Rotary Tree House at the Pajarito Environmental Education Center
- The Rotary Memorial Garden at Los Alamos High School
- Installing an audio loop for the Duane Smith Auditorium
- Providing an AED for a Los Alamos Municipal Building
- Hosting regular bi-annual naturalization ceremonies
- Contributing vocational materials to Delancey Street
- Organizing clean-up events in Los Alamos
- Distributing books for babies
- Packing meals for Meals of Hope
- Hosting annual Sonny Brown Business of the Year events
- Covering fees for UNM-LA students to take the High School Equivalency (HSE) Exam
- Supporting various local organizations including Posse Lodge, LA Cares, Self Help, Inc., Family Strengths Network, LA Council on Cancer, LA Makers, veterans’ organizations, and more.
